Marcus Rashford’s time at Barcelona keeps getting better, and his latest showing might be the standout moment so far.

From the start, Rashford knew he had to deliver a standout season to earn a permanent move to Barcelona. And that is exactly what he has done.

He has delivered on that front so far, whether it was scoring a brace in a Champions League fixture or racking up assists in league play.

In Barcelona’s recent match against Celta, the team needed every bit of his quality, and Rashy responded with an ‘outstanding’ display.

With Real Madrid having dropped points earlier in the day, it was a perfect chance for Rashford’s Barcelona to close the gap at the top of La Liga.

But Celta did not make things easy, holding them level at 2-2 heading into half-time.

While he missed one clear chance and hit the post in the first half, he stepped up after the break with an impressive all-around performance. He ended with two assists, playing a key role in Robert Lewandowski completing his hat-trick.

Rashford also made 57 touches and three recoveries, showing his value not just going forward, but also helping out defensively and in build-up play.

With two assists on the day, Rashford secured sole possession of the top spot in the La Liga assists charts. His seventh assist of the season moved him ahead of notable players like Kylian Mbappe, Lamine Yamal, and Vinicius Jr.

It was another complete performance from him, which did not go unnoticed by Spanish media either. One outlet even gave him a nine out of ten rating.

Rashford has been a regular topic of praise in the Spanish press, and his latest performance only added to that reputation.

Goal Spain gave him a 9/10 rating, labelling him the ‘star of the show’ as he climbed to the top of the league’s assist charts with two more.

Mundo Deportivo highlighted how everything positive for Barcelona seemed to go through Rashford, noting his two assists as a ‘very valuable contribution.’

Marca also spoke positively about his game, pointing out how well he balanced his defensive work with his attacking play.

AS noted that while he missed a chance, Rashford still led the line and provided what turned out to be the decisive moments in the match.

Other analysis from Mundo Deportivo labelled the Englishman as ‘outstanding.’
